Legendary singer/songwriter Paul Simon has announced a North American tour to coincide with the release of his new album So Beautiful or So What on April 12 via Hear Music/Concord Group. The tour will start on April 15 in Seattle, but will only see him perform one Canadian date (May 6 in Toronto).

It’s a tour said to “draw from his iconic career, including several songs that haven’t been performed live in many years,” according to a press release, along with material from his forthcoming album. The first two songs from the record, new single “The Afterlife” and the beautiful, classic-Simon-esque “Getting Ready for Christmas” (which he debuted on the Colbert Report in December) have helped build excitement for the new record, with Rolling Stone backing up Simon’s bold claim that its his “best since [1986 classic] Graceland.”

You can also tune into Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on April 6 and 7 when Simon stops by and Fallon is sure to create a magical moment a la the Springsteen/”Neil Young” “Whip My Hair” cover.

You can find all of the tour dates and more album info on Concord Music Group’s site. Listen to “The Afterlife” below.
