Sean Parker, co-creator of Napster, first president of Facebook, and marijuana advocate (last year he pledged $100,000 to legalize it in California), is among a group of investors interested in purchasing Warner Music Group.

According to Music Row, the company is expected to sell next month for an estimated $2 billion and Parker, who is joined by billionaire Ron Burkle, are now the front runners to buy the third largest business group and one of the big four record companies.

Parker’s tenure at Facebook was recently depicted in the film The Social Network and the character based on him was played by Justin Timberlake. After seeing the movie Parker called it “a complete work of fiction” and said “I wish my life was that cool.”
