At a time when her music is more personal than ever, Marnie Stern is ready to let her vulnerability, her sincerity, do the talking. Stern is a great guitarist, probably better than you, but she’s also a woman, and it’s that last part that seems to always be the caveat when her name is brought up. Of course it’s true that she’s a woman, but as she tells us, she’s not about to let her gender define her genre as so many others have.
