Gatsby’s American Dream were once the sassiest [pop]-punks west of a Max Bemis anxiety attack, so when they went on hiatus two years ago, fans were pretty surprised. Rightfully so, since they first announced it in an off-the-cuff post on their fan-site’s community forums.

The post, written by guitarist/vocalist Bobby Darling, read, in part, “If i find I have more to say with Gatsbys I will write more music. We’re not gonna just play to play. The only way I’ll do more Gatsbys is if we are making new music. Which I am totally open to.”

Well, it looks like that day has come, since the recently reunited six-piece posted a new song to their site over the weekend. The problem is listening to it is a bit of a chore. Not because the song is bad, in fact it’s quite the contrary, but because to hear it you’ve got to complete a tedious mini-game wherein you sling-shot iPhones, footballs, and hotdogs into a suit-wearing pig’s mouth. It’s kind of cute, kind of sassy but mostly just a pain in the ass, so because we like our readers, we’ll save you the trouble.

The band hasn’t announced a new album, yet, but you can imagine that when they do, “Modern Man” will be on it. Listen to it below.
