With a weekend of breathing room between the release of their dozy, guitar-thick new track “Brick by Brick,” the Arctic Monkeys have announced a North American spring tour that includes two Canadian stops—Toronto on May 21, and Montreal on May 22. Though the new song isn’t an official single, it does come from the yet-to-be-announced forthcoming album and is to serve as a sample of what to expect, as drummer Matt Helders confirmed.

The yet-untitled album is the band’s first since 2009’s Humbug , which was co-produced by Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and James Ford ( half of Simian Mobile Disco), who the band had worked with on their second album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, and who has produced the new one as well.
