On a typically cold February evening, our photographer Joe Fuda caught up with Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino and her boyfriend, Wavves’ Nathan Williams for a bite to eat and backstage hang outs with friend and Fucked Up frontman Damian Abraham.

Indie bands don’t typically have aspects of their love life thrust into the spotlight; that sort of attention is usually reserved for the exploits of pop stars. But such is the power of a few blogs (guess which ones) that Nathan Williams and Bethany Cosentino’s relationship has become the subject of indie gossip fodder. Both hailing from California and having met long before either was in Wavves or Best Coast, the two enjoy a strange kind of fame… the kind that returns hundreds of Google results with photos, videos, interviews, etc., but still sees one touring Canada in the bitter cold in a tour van playing care free punk and utterly addictive summer love songs to throngs of adoring fans.
