Influencing several successful acts like Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M. and Nirvana (Kurt Cobain apparently started the band as a direct ripoff), English post-punk band Gang of Four has returned with a new album entitled Content, their first in 16 years. Though it might not be as groundbreaking as their 1979 debut Entertainment, released in the wake of the punk rock movement, this new record still demonstrates the band’s candid view on political and social issues.

We interviewed founding members Jon King and Andy Gill before their show in Toronto where they reveal details about their reunion, releasing the new album and why they’re currently the main opposition in Italy. Watch it below and check out AUX Weekly every Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.
