Dum Dum Girls: "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" (Smiths cover)

Any forthcoming material from Dum Dum Girls is highly anticipated at this point, but when we heard their new EP He Gets Me High (March 4) would feature a Smiths cover, the all-female quartet never seemed more interesting. Their cover of “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out,” originally released on The Smiths’ 1986 album The Queen Is Dead, has made its way online. If anyone has the idea of putting out an album of noisy, lo-fi Smiths covers, it might not be a bad idea.
