What do you get when you mix Toronto’s fresh prince with the UK’s answer to Celine Dion (if she were young, hip and wrote her own music)? Answer: not only a terrible opening sentence, but the start of a collaboration made in heaven.

After what can only be described as a performance for the books, Drake and Florence Welch (of Florence and the Machine) are teaming up to record a new track, which comes hot on the heels of her surprise appearance at the hip-hop star’s sold out shows at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on Friday and Saturday night.

Taking the vocal place of Alicia Keys, Welch offered her own take on the fan favourite “Fireworks,” throwing a bit of her own “Cosmic Love” in for good measure. No word on whether the upcoming collaboration between Drizzy and Flo will appear on the next Florence and the Machine record (which has been in the works since October), but it’s safe to say “What’s My Name?” may be getting a run for its money.
