Okkervil River will be releasing a new single on February 8 via Jagjaguwar containing the tracks “Mermaid” and “Walked Out On a Line.” This past year the band performed as Roky Erickson’s backing band for his comeback album True Love Cast Out All Evil. [Exclaim!]

The Rolling Stones have reunited with bassist Bill Wyman to record a tribute song for their late pianist Ian Stewart. They will be recording a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Watching The River Flow.” [NME]

And Cults will release their debut LP on In The Name Of/Columbia in May and will be touring North America with Small Black and Asobi Seksu in support of it. The have Canadian gigs at Montreal’s Il Motor on April 2 and in Toronto at the Horseshoe on April 4. [Consequence of Sound]
