Stars, one of Canada’s most well-known ‘indie’ bands still churning out records, released The Five Ghosts last year, their fifth studio LP and now lead vocalist Torquil Campbell is following up the band’s release with two LP’s of his own under Dead Child Star and Memphis.
Campbell’s solo album under Dead Child Star entitled Cold Hands, Warm Heart is currently available to listen to and download over at Stars’ official website and features songwriting contributions from Metric’s Jimmy Shaw and Broken Social Scene’s Andrew Whiteman among others.
His collaboration with Chris Dumont under the moniker Memphis will release their third album, Here Comes a City on March 8 via Arts & Crafts. A free download of a track off the album called “I Want the Lights on After Dark” can be found on the Arts & Crafts website.
