Pixies announce Canadian dates for April

The Pixies reunited a couple of years ago to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album Doolittle, which was originally released in 1989 and has since been regarded as one of the pioneer records of the alternative rock movement centered around Seattle in the early ’90s.
Terrific news then for Canadian Pixies fans, today Slicing Up Eyeballs reports that the band will be touring the Great White North for a string of dates in April. They’ll kick off the jaunt in Halifax on April 9 and conclude at Vancouver’s Orpheum Theatre on May 3. In between those two dates, the band will be playing a total of 11 shows across Canada. A limited amount of tickets for the gigs will go on sale Friday through the band’s website. Check the tour dates below.
