And in “way to go, Pete Doherty” news, the Libertines frontman and fellow musicians Alan Wass and Peter “Wolfman” Wolfe failed to show up at their committal hearing on Friday over a cocaine possession charge from London last year.

Relating to an investigation in the January 24 death of filmmaker Robin Whitehead, Doherty’s lawyer claimed the singer was unaware he had to attend the hearing, and District Judge Comyns has reportedly claimed that the rock ‘n roller will not suffer consequences.

However, the trio are set to appear in court on February 2, where they’re expected to deny the charges and evidently continue the saga of Pete Doherty’s lingering embrace with the long arm of the law. [via NME]
