Is it really that surprising to see a band like Pearl Jam still kicking around today? For those who have been keeping tabs on the Seattle alt-rock vets, most likely no, as the group has always managed to keep it together when faced with obstacles like fighting with Ticketmaster, releasing new material in the 21st century, or even changing their name from Mookie Blaylock.

The band will celebrate their twenty-year history for the next twelve months by reissuing their sophomore album Vs., released in 1993, as well as Vitalogy, which came out a year later, according to their official website. The two reissues will be preceded by a brand new live album, entitled Live on Ten Legs, on January 18, featuring tracks recorded during the band’s world tours from 2003 to 2010.

A highly anticipated documentary called Pearl Jam Twenty, directed by ’90s alum Cameron Crowe, is also set to come out this year making it a great time to be a Pearl Jam fan. A “twentieth anniversary destination weekend bash” will also take place sometime in late summer.
