New Best Coast track: "When You Wake Up"

The Summer Is Forever EP consisting of some new, and some re-released, tracks by Best Coast and Wavves, as well as one from their upcoming touring partner No Joy, was released digitally yesterday through iTunes. Best Coast contributed a brand new song to the EP called “When You Wake Up” and you can stream it below.

Following their Crazy For You LP, this new Best Coast track delves lyrically into similar territory to what singer Bethany Consentino has been crooning about. It may in fact be a love song dedicated towards her boyfriend, Wavves’ Nathan Williams while guitarist Bob Bruno gets to show off by shedding a few nifty riffs.

All three bands will be playing some Canadian shows next month and a split 7″ containing Best Coast’s “When You Wake Up” and Wavves’ “Stained Glass (Won’t You Let Me Into Yr Heart)” will be available for purchase.
