Kim Kardashian "turns it up" (!!)

Good news, everybody: Kim Kardashian has released her very first single, “Turn It Up”, a fist-pumping, bass-thumping, club-happy jam, which she debuted (live!) on New Year’s Eve at TAO nightclub in Las Vegas.

Having collaborated with The-Dream (she “didn’t mean to!”), the 30-year-old “reality” star was captured on-camera as she gave her premiere performance to the Ed Hardy shirt-wearing crowd (we can only assume), instructing the DJ to “turn it up!” (Get it? A play on words! Ha!) before breaking out into autotune or backtrack or . . . something.

But wait – there’s more. As per her Twitter, Ms. Kardashian is really trying to “go for it!” in terms of her music, and word on the street is that the Twitter addict will also be teaming up with – wait for it – Kanye West. (Gulp.)

So really, the music industry isn’t dead – only its soul is. So happy 2011, everyone – at least Britney’s back. [via Billboard]
