Jimmy Lee Lindsay, aka Jay Reatard, aka one of the most captivating live performers of the garage rock persuasion, was taken from us last year at the age of 29. Thankfully, his memory will live on in the music he put out, and now with new material set for release this year.

According to a post on Reatard’s official website, several works by the late musician including a greatest hits album, various reissues, and a feature-length documentary film will be released in 2011.

Shattered Records, Reatard’s label he founded in 2004 and relaunched in 2009, will also be releasing a 7″ containing the last two songs Reatard recorded two days before he died (“You Get No Love” and “I Am Growing”). It will be released to members of the label’s subscription series and won’t be sold digitally or in stores. Members will receive a new 14-song live LP, recorded at the Golden Plains Festival in Australia in 2008, and a t-shirt with a watercolor by artist Nicholas Gazin.

Shattered Club memberships are still available to purchase from Reatard’s website.
