Glee creator says "Fuck you, Kings of Leon"

Just when you thought the Kings of Leon/Glee rivalry had come to a close, creator Ryan Murphy has added a little more sass to the pot, giving the band a big, fat “fuck you, Kings of Leon” courtesy of a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Describing the Followills and friends as “self-centered assholes”, Murphy argued the group “missed the point,” and that by snubbing the program, “they missed that a seven-year-old kid can see someone . . . singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee or pick up an instrument”. (So in that case, thank you Kings of Leon for not spawning KOL: The Next Generation.)

Reportedly, the band don’t understand the controversy, because they’re not into the show. And that makes two of us. [via Huffington Post]
