Prolific Canadian hip-hop artist D-Sisive released a new track earlier today. The nearly five minute-long song, entitled “If I Live to See Tomorrow,” was recorded in one take and lifts its background sample from Sigur Ros’ “Festival.”

With the Sigur Ros touch, the song plays like night and day simultaneously. D-Sisive (a.k.a. Derek Christoff a.k.a. Derek From Northcliffe) raps about frustrations—”I’ve spent my life in darkness, I’m ready for the light”—as Sigur Ros floats softly in the background like pretty clouds parting.
