DOWNLOAD OF THE WEEK: Cold War Kids' "Louder than Ever"

Here’s a song to get you through the rest of the week with a kick. Cold War Kids’ latest single, “Louder than Ever,” which is off their album, Mine is Yours, is set to drop on January 25, almost three years since the group’s last full-length.

“Louder than Ever” continues the trademark CWK dark sound, with Nathan Willett’s clear and sometimes-contained wail. However, they’ve toned down the guitars that once reigned so strongly, so they’re not actually… louder than ever. But the song is catchy, with a different tempo chorus that will bring you in with a slow drum groove and then lets you out with a short let-loose moment. “Louder than Ever” has the group reaching new levels with this third album and though you might miss those crazy bluesy guitars, what’s left now feels just as strong.
