It’s true: the Britney Spears demo that was leaked recently has been confirmed as the real deal after Ms. Spears took to her Twitter yesterday to defend the song’s honour.

Tweeting, “If u think that’s good, wait till you hear the real one Tuesday,” Ms. Spears also shared a link to the track’s cover art (and lo and behold, she’s not carrying Starbucks). But before you get up in arms over the singer’s seemingly botched vocals, rest assured that the voice that you hear is that of songwriter Bonnie McKee—who’s previously had a hand in the likes of “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream.”

Yet despite the track’s badass beats, producer Dr. Luke assured fans via Twitter that the version we’ve heard is “really old” and that it “doesn’t sound like that anymore . . . it’s WAY BETTER.” [via Dose]
