Abbey Road is the best-selling vinyl of 2010

One of the things that will be remembered from this past year was that the Beatles agreed to sell their music through iTunes, and, in turn, made an insane amount of money.

But alongside all the digital sales, the vinyl comeback trend has been very useful to the fab four, as their eleventh studio album Abbey Road, the final album recorded by the band, was named the best-selling vinyl of 2010.

According to Nielson SoundScan, Abbey Road ranks ahead of a slew of newer albums like Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs and the Black Keys’ Brothers to claim top spot for the second year in a row. [Consequence of Sound]
