Watch Rivers Cuomo perform "God Only Knows"

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has posted a homemade video of his solo rendition of the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows” from their 1966 album Pet Sounds. We can only wonder what inspired him to cover this track and film it in a such a way, but despite the take being a little on the rough side, his vocals mirror Carl Wilson’s for a fantastic cover. The original version by the Beach Boys was voted number 25 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest Songs of all time.
