Watch Crystal Castles perform "Baptism" on Kimmel

We’d like to first point out that Crystal Castles’ live set is by no means suited for any late night TV broadcast. This couldn’t be more evident than seeing Alice Glass standing on a drum kit signing the lyrics to “Baptism” while massive Bud Light advertisements surround her. And even the audience at the majority of performances like these don’t really seem to get into it unless it’s someone ridiculously famous like Eminem or Justin Bieber.

That being said, Crystal Castles performed last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live and delivered a version of “Baptism” that fans of the band would expect. For the haters out there it’s quite easy to dismiss this as they don’t sound particularly great, but they don’t look that comfortable either. The opportunity was there to reach out to a bigger audience so you can’t blame them for trying.
