Karl Hyde and Rick Smith, who make up UK electronic band Underworld, will once again collaborate with Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle for his stage adaptation of Frankenstein.
According to the Guardian, the duo have written a “soundscore” for the musical, which is set to debut in London on February 5th, 2011. The band previously worked with Boyle on the score for his 2007 science-fiction film Sunshine and most notably provided the track “Born Slippy .NUXX” (below) for the Trainspotting soundtrack, another of Boyle’s films.
Rehearsal have already begun for the play in London with an original script penned by Nick Dear and actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller set to alternate in the roles of Victor Frankenstein and his creature.
