Founding father of the era-defining chillwave movement, Toro Y Moi (real name Chazwick Bundick) is in the midst of a career high,with most of the year spent on an extensive world tour, including several Canadian stops in addition to his appearances across Europe and the Americas. Having released his full-length debut, Causers of This, this past January to overwhelming praise, the lo-fi connoisseur has prided himself on staying true to his musical ethos, maintaining a unique style that’s cemented his sophomore record (due out this February) as “highly anticipated”.

Toro Y Moi sat down with AUX Weekly during his stop in LA, and discussed the breakup that defined his album and the success that came from it.
