This morning's new music news; Slash will record his next solo album with lead vocalist Myles Kennedy, Pete Doherty has launched a new website and M.I.A. will put out her new mixtape on New Year's Eve.

Slash has announced he will record the follow-up to his self-titled solo album with lead vocalist Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge. Kennedy appeared on a few tracks for the guitarist’s solo album, but will be responsible this time for all of the vocal work and will also accompany him on his next North American tour. Pete Doherty has launched a new website called Albion Rooms where he will allegedly post new videos and songs on a weekly basis. The Libertines/Babyshambles member has left a note requesting you to join an mailing list to have full access to the site. [NME]

And M.I.A. will release a new mixtape on New Year’s Eve called Vicky Leekx, which will feature songs that will be “layin bad minds to rest 2010.” [Twitter]
