A forthcoming charity show that was set to host the reunion of Pink Floyd was axed when the band members learned that the event was going to be hosted by Jemima Khan, an English socialite who gained attention for her relationship with actor Hugh Grant a few years ago.

According to The Independent, drummer Nick Mason refused to take part in the event, which would have marked Pink Floyd’s second reunion in almost 30 years.

“That particular event wasn’t right for a reformation of Pink Floyd,” Mason said. “I said I would do it, but it was a charity event for suits, and it felt wrong to turn a small thing into a big deal just because Jemima Khan was in attendance. Why play for a lot of posh totty instead of some of the other things we should save that up for – a Live 8 type of thing?”

Note: Urban Dictionary defines ‘Posh Totty’ as “Male or female totty whose poshness is an essential part of the appeal e.g. well educated; mellifluous voice; charming classy manners; sophisticated conversation; expensive clothes; trendy address, etc.”
