This morning, MC Hammer released a video for the track “Better Run Run” in response to Jay-Z taking a stab at him through Kanye West’s “So Appalled.” In the Kanye West track Jay-Z raps, “And Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused/I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30/Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can’t hurt me.”

The late ’80s – mid ’90s rapper didn’t take too well to that and like any normal person in this day and age, went on Twitter and cried about it. He also hinted at making a video in direct response to the remark, which you can watch below.

In the video, a person resembling Jay-Z is being chased through the woods by the devil while Hammer trains like Rocky Balboa. At its conclusion, Hammer, who is actually an ordained minister, baptizes the look-a-like to apparently to stop him from saying such unkind things.

Is Hammer being serious, we can’t say. Is this all ridiculous anyway, yes it is.
