Today The National released a deluxe edition of their latest record High Violet containing deleted tracks, b-sides and alternate versions of some songs. One of the deleted songs entitled “Wake Up Your Saints” is available to listen to below.

The original version of The National’s fifth studio album was great, however the inclusion of deleted tracks like this one make it even better and definitely a candidate for best album of the year. “Wake Up Your Saints” is a little more pop orientated compared to some off the other cuts off High Violet, but on any great record you need to take a brief break from brooding.
