Liam Gallagher and the remaining members of Oasis have finally released their first piece of music as Beady Eye through the track “Bring The Light,” available to download for free through the widget below.

This track might surprise a few people as with past Oasis songs there involved lots of guitars, lyrics that don’t really mean anything and the mental image of Gallagher strutting around stage with his package out front and centre. Without Noel in the lineup, it seems the other four members might be taking a different route musically. “Bring The Light” is piano-heavy, something Oasis never really did unless it was a slow jam a la “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and the addition of female backing singers is pretty unheard of. Oasis were always sort of a ‘lads’ band you could sing to without trying to spill too much of your pint. This is certainly something else.

The band are working with U2 producer Steve Lillywhite and are looking to release a full album sometime next year.
