The last recorded material we heard from ’90s Alternative Rock band Garbage was the lead single “Tell Me Where It Hurts” released on their career-spanning greatest hits album Absolute Garbage in 2007.

Now, according to lead vocalist Shirley Manson, Garbage have reunited and are currently working on a new LP, their first since 2005’s Bleed Like Me. Manson was speaking to the Herald Scotland where she revealed the band has “recorded quite a lot but it’s difficult to quantify.”

“It’s the first one in a long time. I took about five years off. I’d like to do some touring next year,” she added.

Garbage went on indefinite hiatus after touring Bleed Like Me, but reunited for the release of their greatest hits album as well as a few benefit shows. Manson has also been working on a solo album for a number of years with drummer/producer Butch Vig, however no release date has been set.
