Mogwai will release their first studio album of new material since 2008’s The Hawk Is Howling on February 15 called Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. This morning we are given our first taste of the band’s seventh LP through the track “Rano Pano,” the first single, which is available to download below at the cost of an email.
The five-minute instrumental track delivers some classic Mogwai loud/quiet vibes with a plenty of distortion, making it almost dream-like. Sub Pop are going to release it as a 7″ on January 18 with the B-side “Hasenheide.” Starting in April the Scottish band will be touring North America with Canadian gigs lined up in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
