The Decemberists have released a free download (below) of a new track called “Down by the Water” that will appear on their forthcoming album The King Is Dead, due out January 11. Featuring guitar work by R.E.M.’s Peter Buck, the record follows the band’s fifth studio album The Hazards of Love, released last year. View the track list for The King Is Dead below.
