This morning's new music news; Zeus have announced a 7" single series, Kings of Leon's new record sets the record for highest selling album for the first week in the UK and Cults' Daytrotter session is currently available for free download.

Zeus have announced they’ll be releasing a new 7″ single series starting with a double A-side featuring the tracks “Hot Under The Collar” and “Aeroplane” on December 7 via Arts & Crafts. Both songs were mixed by Robbie Lackritz. [Exclaim!]

Kings of Leon’s fifth studio album Come Around Sundown has set the record in the UK for the biggest first week digital album sales in chart history. The album sold 183,000 copies also making it the highest selling album in its first week of 2010 so far. [NME]

And Cults visited Daytrotter last week to play tracks off their  7″ debut released a few months back. Download the session for free over at the Daytrotter website.
