This morning's new music news; The Cars have reunited and are currently recording their first album in 23 years, Jack White will be Conan's first guest on his new show and Local Natives have released a video for "Who Knows Who Cares."

The Cars have reunited to record their first album in 23 years, according to Billboard. The band split in 1988, but in 2005 guitarist Elliot Easton and keyboardist Greg Hawkes reformed as the New Cars and put out the album It’s Alive a year later. They are currently working on new material in a New York-based studio. No release date or title has been set for the new album. [Billboard]

Jack White will be the first musical guest on Conan O’Brien’s new TBS talk show starting November 8. Other musical guests performing that week include Soundgarden and Fistful of Mercy. [Exclaim!]

And Local Natives have released a new music video for “Who Knows Who Cares” off their latest record Gorilla Manor. Watch it over at NME.
