Crystal Castles announce Spring 2011 tour

Recent recipients of one of Eye Weekly’s “Toronto’s most huggable douchebags,” (for the record, I dig the band and think the new album is great) Crystal Castles have announced they’ll be touring North America in the spring of next year. The band released their Polaris Prize longlisted self-titled sophomore album this past April.

Although Eye rips them for stealing the “black-eyed Madonna” drawing they were using and for unlicensed sampling, they do praise the duo for proving the city of Toronto does have other bands and sounds besides the Broken Social Scene ensemble. I doubt they give a fuck though. Douchebags.

Starting March 3 in San Francisco, the band will trek it west to east, stopping in Vancouver on March 7 and in Toronto on April 2.
