And Mark David Chapman has been denied parole in New York, 30 years after killing ex-Beatle John Lennon outside his Manhattan apartment. The parole board said “release remains inappropriate at this time and incompatible with the welfare of the community.” This was Chapman’s sixth appearance in-front of the board and he will not be eligible for another two years. Lennon would have celebrated his 70th birthday this year. [Billboard]
