In the spirit of outlandish URLs, M.I.A. has used the newly-anointed http://www.ithinkyoumightgetshitforthat.com to host her recent collaboration with Blaqstarr (following last year’s “S.U.S. (Save Ur Soul)”), the relatively questionable “Lemme Hump You”.
Featuring a hopelessly out-of-date anti-racism poster super imposed on an image of Barack Obama and Google CEO Eric Schmidt, the song’s obvious social and political agenda (as per the heart next to the title of the website) is somewhat clouded by the humping computer-animated characters, as well as the song’s title itself.
M.I.A.’s distaste for Google comes as no surprise following the appearances of her “F**ck Google, Ask Me!” t-shirt as of late, and the singer is no stranger to confrontation or controversy whether in song or spoken form.
