Headliners announced for 2010 Manifesto Main Day

J. Period and Black Thought of The Legendary Roots Crew along with Jay Electronica will headline this year’s Manifesto Main Day on Sunday September 26, an outdoor block party held at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto that features music, art, dance, workshops, a marketplace, and much more.

The concert marks the culmination of the 7 day long event across the city and is a free show from noon to 11 p.m. Other performers taking the stage include Suakrates, Eternia, VooDoo Souljahs, Scott Jackson, Protoje & Jah9, Shaun Boothe, Mindbender with DJs Sweet Touch Foundation, Droppin’ Dimez, DJ Nef-You and many others.

This will be the Manifesto’s fourth year and since its inception it has become one of Canada’s largest hip-hop festivals bringing together hundreds of artists and performers. It runs from September 20-26 and showcases Toronto’s talented arts community through art exhibitions, outdoor concerts, film screenings, seminars and dance competitions.
