Animal Collective have introduced the first shoe in a new collection members of the band have personally designed in collaboration with the Keep clothing company.

Up first is the Tobin (shown above), a slip-on shoe that was designed by founding Animal Collective member Avey Tare featuring a custom printed ghost pattern and hidden elastic and velcro closure.

All the proceeds from the sale of these shoes will go to Socorro Island Conservation Fund, an organization that assists the Mexican government’s effort to survey and detect illegal fishing activities. The Tobin is currently available for pre-order and all advanced sales will come with a cassette of unreleased music. The band’s latest record Merriweather Post Pavilion was released in January of last year.
