This morning's new music news; Mogwai plan to release their next full-length LP in February of 2011, Kanye West's latest album has been pushed back to November and My Morning Jacket are currently recording the follow-up to 2008's 'Evil Urges.'

After the release of their live album Special Moves, due out August 23, Mogwai have reveled they will release their seventh studio LP in February 2011. In an interview regarding the upcoming album band member Stuart Braithwaite said, “I think it’s going to be an interesting record. Quite often, when we go into the studio our songs are nearly written. There’s almost a tone of a song, but as the whole band, you haven’t realized where it’s going.” Their last album The Hawk Is Howling was released in 2008. [NME]

The release date for the new Kanye West album has been pushed back to November. The rapper revealed the news while he was at a Korean airport speaking to fans via a live video-streaming service. The title of his album, once called Good Ass Job, has not been announced. [Pitchfork]

And My Morning Jacket are currently in the studio recording the follow-up to 2008’s Evil Urges. “We’ve got five songs done,” frontman Jim James said. “We’ve worked a couple weeks. We’re going to do another month. It’ll probably be out mid-next year — probably May.” [Rolling Stone]
