This morning's new music news; Noah And The Whale will release a new LP in March of next year, the Canadian National Exhibition will showcase shoes worn by Elvis Presley, Madonna and Eminem among others and Fever Ray's Peter Gabriel cover of "Mercy Street" is currently streaming online.

Noah And The Whale will release a new as-yet-untitled LP in March of next year following 2009’s The First Day of Spring. This will be the band’s third album and they are also working on putting out a documentary called First Days: A Film About Noah And The Whale, which captures the band during the making of their last LP. At this year’s Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, shoes warn by Jimi Hendrix, Madonna, John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Rod Steward and Eminem among others will be only display at an exhibit called The History of Rock n Roll. The exhibit opens today at the Direct Energy Building on the CNE Grounds. [CBC]

And Fever Ray has released a Peter Gabriel cover of the track “Mercy Street,” which you can listen to below. The track will be released as a 7″ single on September 14. [Stereogum]
