The Rural Alberta Advantage announce tour of western Canada

After a summer of recording a new album that’s ready to come out early next year, The Rural Alberta Advantage will set out a tour of western Canada starting with a gig at The West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg on October 27. The trek will then continue west ending with a date at Vancouver’s Biltmore Cabaret on November 6.
During the tour the band will be playing a few shows in Alberta where they took the inspiration for their debut album, Hometowns. It was originally released independently in 2008, but was re-released a year later on Saddle Creek Records, where it received tons of acclaim from the likes of NME, Spin Magazine and iTunes.
Over the summer the band has been working with producer Roger Leavens, who has previously worked with member Paul Banwatt’s other band Woodhands, at Boombox Sound in Toronto. According to their MySpace the album does not have a name, however most of the songs have titles. Check out all the Canadian tour dates below.
