Hear unreleased track from The National, "You Were a Kindness"

It’s clear The National’s latest album High Violet has brought the Brooklyn-based band some long overdue attention and they themselves have admitted it is their finest work yet. Recently they performed a few tracks for Minnesota radio station 89.3 the current, one of which was an unreleased song called “You Were a Kindness.” Lead vocalist Matt Berninger was interviewed on the program and spoke about the track saying, “It’s a song we all really liked, but for whatever reason didn’t put on the record.”
The band are touring for the remainder of the year and have two more scheduled Canadian dates in Vancouver on September 9 and 10 at The Malkin Bowl. Listen to “You Were a Kindness below.”
