Watch Pearl Jam's oil spill inspired music video

Pearl Jam have released a new music video for the track “Amongst the Waves” from their latest album Backspacer, their ninth studio album. The video was inspired by the recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and features video clips of surfers, dolphins, swimmers and other things ocean related in an attempt to show the beauty that takes place in our waters. The video also cuts to the band performing the track live. It ends with images of the oil spill itself and the words, “There is only one ocean for everyone. Look after it for present and future generations.”

The video is available to purchase through iTunes with all proceeds going to Conservation International’s Marine Programs.
