Watch M.I.A. and nine look-alikes perform "Born Free" on Letterman

Amidst all the media coverage concerning M.I.A.’s interview with the New York Times and some of the radical videos she has put out, it was easy to forget that her album / \ / \ / \ Y / was released last week and has received some generally positive reviews.

For those unaware of what’s been happening with this English-Sri Lankan singer, having a look at last night’s performance of the track “Born Free” on Letterman might garner an inquiry into some of the album’s other songs, or at least a ticket in hand for her next scheduled performance near you. For this take, M.I.A. employs 9 look-alikes to perform the song with her to which Letterman replies after the performance, “Happy Halloween.”
