Known sometimes for his politically driven lyrics, Bill Bragg performed the track “Like Soldiers Do” off his second album entitled Brewing Up with Bill Bragg, released in 1984, at the Glastonbury music festival last month. Before he starts playing he addresses the audience and talks briefly about his time spent in the Royal Armoured Corps as well as a lament about the status of the British Army and its current missions abroad.

“I do have a lot of respect for people that want to serve their country and we definitely need an army to defend our little island and to go out and do humanitarian work around the world,” Bragg says. He also stressed the need to bring back the troops from a “foreign country with the wrong equipment in the wrong war at the wrong time” now instead of in 2015.
