This morning's new music news; Liam Gallagher has spoken out about a possible Oasis reunion in the future, Tegan and Sara will release a six-LP vinyl box set called 'The Official Vinyl Collection' and NPR is currently streaming Gorillaz' gig in Syria from last weekend.

Former Oasis and newly formed Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has said that his former band will only reunite in the future under extreme circumstances. “The only reason why Oasis will come back is when we’re fucking skint,” Gallagher said. “I’m far from skint as you can tell – and I won’t be skint for a long, long fucking time. Believe me, it ain’t gonna be happening,” [NME]

Tegan and Sara will release a six-LP vinyl box set called The Official Vinyl Collection. It will include their most recent album Sainthood, which is up for this year’s Polaris Music Prize, and all of their studio releases dating back to 2000’s The Business of Art. The package will also include a demo called Home Recordings comprised of unreleased recordings. It is expected to be released in the Fall. [Exclaim!]

And NPR is currently streaming a live performance Gorillaz did in Syria from last weekend. Guest appearances during the gig included Bobby Womack, De La Soul, the Pharcyde’s Bootie Brown, Paul Simonon and Mick Jones of the Clash, the Happy Mondays’ Shaun Ryder and UK rappers Bashy and Kano among others.
