This morning's new music news; Joss Stone has written a new song for the upcoming James Bond video game and will also be the voice for one of its characters, The Books' latest album 'The Way Out' is currently streaming online and The Hold Steady have expanded their North American tour for the fall.

Singer/actress Joss Stone has been elected to play the next bond girl in a new video game based on the James Bond film series. She will provide the voice and model for a character called Nicole Hunter in the game James Bond 007: Blood Stone. Stone also wrote the track “I’ll Take It All” for the game’s soundtrack. [BBC]

New York City’s The Books have a new album out today called The Way Out that’s currently streaming online over at Exclaim!. This is their fourth studio album and first in five years. [Exclaim!]

And The Hold Stready have announced more shows for their upcoming North American tour in support of their latest album Heaven is Whenever, released earlier this year. They kick off the tour in Seattle on August 18 and will play Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre the next day. Their only other Canadian date will be in Hailfax for the Pop Explosion Music Festival on October 22. [NME]
